Jihed Laabar

Jihed is from Tunisia and has joined The Connections Group for the summer of 2010.

Jihed successfully completed an internship at one of the most well known governmental institutes in Tunisia, The Arab Institute of Business Leaders, for eight weeks. There, he was responsible for planning, developing, and marketing the “Global Week of Entrepreneurship” exhibition in Tunisia.  He also worked with the National Judo Federation of Qatar to host the 10th annual Gulf Judo Championship. His responsibilities included logistics, hospitality, schedules, transportation and advertising.

Jihed is currently a junior year student at Qatar University majoring in Finance and Marketing. Jihed has been involved in student activities at Qatar University and is currently serving as Treasurer for the College of Business and Economics Club. He was also elected to serve as Vice President of the Qatar University Debate Team for the coming academic year 2010/11.

At The Connections Group, Jihed seeks to develop his knowledge about the American political system and campaign culture. He is excited to gain valuable professional experience working in a small business environment in which he can put his many unique skills to work. Jihed’s major goal is to return to his hometown Tataouine and develop the city through several sustainable development projects.
